About the Conference

The Respond Conference is the annual national event for Community First Responders in Ireland. Hosted by CFR Ireland, the conference brings together volunteers, healthcare professionals, trainers, and partner organisations who are committed to strengthening community emergency response and improving survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

Respond provides a valuable opportunity for Community First Responder groups from across the country to connect, learn, and share their experiences. The event highlights the vital role that volunteers play in supporting their communities and working alongside the National Ambulance Service to deliver early life-saving care.

Throughout the day, attendees take part in a programme of expert presentations, practical workshops, and equipment demonstrations. These sessions focus on the latest developments in pre-hospital care, advances in CPR and defibrillation, and the continued growth of the Community First Responder network in Ireland. The conference also provides opportunities to hear from leading voices in emergency care, including representatives from organisations such as the Pre‑Hospital Emergency Care Council and the Irish Heart Foundation.
