It is with regret that we announce the rescheduling of Respond 2020. Respond 2020 was due to take place on Sat 25th of April 2020 in The Mullingar Park Hotel. We thank the hotel for working with us in rescheduling our event until later in the year.

New Date : Sat 24th Oct 2020

This decision was made due to the increasing numbers of the public contracting the Covid 19 virus daily. We feel that in the interest of the safety to the communities that we serve that we must postpone. A gathering of such large numbers of volunteers, National Ambulance Service personnel and healthcare workers is putting, not just the public at risk, but risking infecting front line healthcare staff and volunteers.

Ticket sales for the new date will continue to be on sale with the early bird rate extended to closer to the time. If you have booked already we would be delighted to transfer your booking directly to the new date and you don’t need to do anything but mark it in your calendar. This will also ensure you get your selected workshops as, except for the date, nothing else has changed with Respond 2020.

If the new date doesn’t suit and you would like a full refund of your ticket this can be arranged by emailing registration@cfr.ie.

Hotel Accommodation – For those of you that have already booked your room for that weekend the hotel are happy to honour the booking for the new Oct date. However the hotel has asked that you call them to confirm you are happy to move your booking to the new date.

In the meantime, we would ask all CFRs to follow advice issued by NAS with respect to infection precautions. Please remember to text, 01 space and last 3 digits of callout (01 xxx) to, NEOC for all calls to allow you to receive any necessary updates from NEOC. If NEOC don’t know you are attending they won’t know to stand you down in the case of COVID19.

Finally, we all have our part to play in reducing the spread of COVID19, so remember to wash your hands often and well, don’t touch your face and cough/sneeze into your elbow.

Please encourage your friends, colleagues, family and responder’s to do likewise. If your group has a social media presence you could also use this to promote this message.
